Saving a Permission Configuration

Security setting can be saved as named configurations and reused between tables or sections within the current document.

  1. On the Home tab, click Section.

  2. Under Available Sections, select the section you want to modify and click Modify.

  3. Click the Permissions tab.

  4. Click Edit.
  5. In the Document Permissions Settings dialog, click New.
  6. In the New Security Configuration dialog, enter a name and click OK.
  7. Select the desired permissions.
  8. Click OK.

Once created, the configuration is added to the drop-down list available in all the permissions dialogs (document, section and table).

  • When using a named configuration, permissions that are not applicable - such as table permissions when using the configuration in a section - will not be applied.
