Managing Synchronized Files

In a SmartSync environment collaboration is constantly taking place and many file updates are occurring at the same time. Each sync copy can continually be sending changes to and receiving changes from its parent file. To manage and maintain your synchronization hierarchy, a number of options should be considered:

  • Assign the client file and its documents only to a predetermined list of users to avoid an excessive number of sync copies of a file.
  • Assign appropriate staff to resolve conflicts in a timely manner to avoid excessive and stagnant conflict notifications.
  • Delete unused synchronized copies of a file through the Working Papers interface when you are finished with them.
