Step 1: Backup your existing master template
Prior to installation, you should make a backup of your firm's master template.
Procedure

Close all instances of CaseView.
- In Working Papers, click Tools | Templates.

Select the template to back up, then click Repackage.

The Template Packager Wizard displays. On the Welcome page, click Next.
- On the Global Options page, enter an output file destination and template name. Click Finish.

Step 2: Download
Step 2: Download the installation file
Prerequisites
- Ensure that you have CaseWare Working Papers version 2017 or later installed. You can find your current version information under File | Help. If your office has not yet upgraded to Working Papers 2017 or later, sign into MyCaseWare and download the Working Papers installation file from Software Downloads.
Procedure
- Sign in to MyCaseWare.
- Click Software Downloads.
- Click the Templates tab.
- Locate your template product and click Download to download the installation file.

Step 3: Install
Step 3: Install the template
Procedure
- Locate the installation file that was downloaded from MyCaseWare, then double-click it to launch the installation wizard.
- On the Welcome screen, click Next to continue.
- Accept the End User License Agreement, then click Next.
- We recommend using the default Program Folder and Document Library file paths. Ensure Uninstall existing template is checked. Click Finish.
Note: The CaseWare®/CPA Canada PEG templates currently do not support a network installation. The templates must be installed on each workstation where they are to be used. For more information, refer to the System Requirements.
- The Uninstall Template wizard is displayed if an existing template is found on your computer. Click Next to uninstall the existing template. When complete, click Close.
- The template will begin installation. When complete, the dialog will indicate a successful installation. Click Close.
