About Cells

Cells are one of the fundamental components used to build a CaseView document. They provide the dynamic link between CaseView and the Working Papers and Time databases. A cell can be positioned anywhere in a CaseView document, or organized into columns. Attributes and calculations can be unique for each cell.

In CaseView, there are six types of cells:

Numeric

Accepts any numeric value.

Alphanumeric

Accepts both numbers and text.

Date

Returns cell values to a date format.

Check box

Check boxes are useful in controlling printing options.

Radio button

Radio buttons can be selected or deselected only. A minimum of two radio buttons must be created in order for this either/or process to function.

Button

Button cells are useful for setting up document options and actions.
