Insert Tab

Note: Available commands vary based on the editing mode selected.

Opens the Cell dialog. Depending on where the cursor is located, you can create or edit a cell.

If a table is selected, the Table Properties dialog opens. If a table is not select, the Create Table dialog opens.

Insert

Inserts a row or column into the selected table.

Delete

Deletes the selected table, row(s), or column(s). A dialog box will appear asking for confirmation of the deletion.

Merge Squares

Merges selected horizontal table squares. When finished, the contents of the squares move to the left-most square and center across the selected range.

When merging squares for multiple rows, each row is treated separately. Squares cannot be merged vertically.

Unmerge Squares

Unmerges two merged horizontal table squares. When unmerged, the previous squares reappear. The contents of the unmerged squares display in the left most table square.

Properties

Opens the Table Properties dialog to set properties for the table.

Sort

Opens the Sorta Criteria dialog to sort table cells.

Shuffle Columns

Opens the Shuffle Table Columns dialog to manually reorder the table columns.

Opens the Picture Object dialog to insert a picture.

Opens the Graph Type dialog to insert a chart or pie. Once a selection has been made, the Graph Properties dialog opens. Use this dialog to configure the graph properties.

Opens the Line Style dialog to insert a line across the printed page.

Opens the Hyperlinks dialog you to insert a hyperlink.

Opens the Page Break dialog to select a page break type to begin at the cursor's current location.

Inserts a column break above the cursor's current location.

Inserts a hyphen at the cursor's current location. A line end will not separate the two hyphenated words.

Inserts an optional hyphen at the cursor's current location. A line end will separate the word, causing the latter part of the word to wrap to the next line.

Embeds a section of knowledge library content into the document.

Embeds a section of knowledge library content from the index, as opposed to browsing for the content manually.

Opens the Page Number dialog to insert a dynamic page number entry in the document.

Opens the Note Number Properties dialog to configure and insert a dynamic note number from the numbering pool.

Opens the Page Number Reference dialog to insert a reference to a paragraph label. Page number references are useful in building Tables of Contents or in notes.

Opens the Note Number Reference dialog to insert a reference to an existing note.

Opens the Table of Contents dialog to build and configure a table of contents based on table of contents markers outlined throughout the document(s).

Launches the Open Client Document dialog, where you can select a document to open. Once selected, use the Sub-Document dialog to embed a sub-document in the document.

Opens the External Document dialog. Use this dialog to insert a Word, Excel, or PDF document as an external document. External documents will be printed along with the CaseView document.

Opens the Insert Object dialog to insert an external object. Objects can range from spreadsheets to sound files.
