Opening an Existing CaseView Document Within CaseView

  1. On the File tab, click Open.

    All CaseView documents for the selected client appear in the Open Client Document dialog.

  2. Select a document.
  3. Click OK.

  • If the client file was created in a previous version of CaseView, a prompt appears asking if you wish to convert the file. If you select No, the file does not open.
  • If you are not currently in an open client file, instead of seeing a list of current documents, the Open dialog appears. Browse for the client to whom the document you want to open belongs. If the file is uncompressed, select the CaseView file and click OK. If the client file is currently compressed, you will need to open it in Working Papers or Time first in order to be able to access the CaseView file.
