Assigning Taxonomy Tags

  1. Open the CaseView document containing the information to be tagged.
  2. On the Tools tab, click XBRL | Tags.

The taxonomy associated with the client file displays in the taxonomy box, or select another taxonomy from the list.

  3. Click Next. The cursor moves to the next available paragraph or cell in the document.

Note: This button also has a drop-down list to allow you move to previous or next data as well as to move to data that has not yet been assigned a tag.

  4. If the data is to be tagged, select the appropriate tag and click Tag. Elements that have already been tagged are grayed out so that you can see that you have already used this element once in your document. To skip to the next paragraph or cell instead, click Next.
  5. To apply the tag, in the pane displaying the taxonomy navigate through the taxonomy to find the correct tag to be applied to this data.
  1. Select the context from the list of contexts.
  2. To move to the next paragraph or cell, click Next. To exit the tagging screen and save the tags applied, click Close.
