Creating Global Context Tags

Some taxonomies may contain information that is not contained specifically in the CaseView document you are tagging, such as earnings per share, or your lawyer's phone number, but you may want to include this information in the final XBRL document you create. CaseView allows you fill in the information for these tags so that they can be part of the final XBRL document without having to add them to the CaseView document.

  1. On the Tools tab, click XBRL | Global Settings.

  2. Click the Global Tags tab. The taxonomy associated with the client file displays in the taxonomy box. If not correct, select another taxonomy from the list.
  3. Click New Global Context.
  4. Using the taxonomy display, find the tag you wantto enter.
  5. In the Value box, enter the value for the global tag.
  6. Select a context to be associated with the tag.
  7. Click OK.
