Sync File Types
The following table describes the file types used by SmartSync:

| .slg | Sync log that contains all changes to the Working Papers databases in the hierarchy. |
| .sfc | A compressed copy of an external document. |
| .sfc.X | Placeholder file to prevent SmartSync from uploading/downloading obsolete .sfc files. |
| .sci | Information about the sync copy or the parent file. |
| .sfg | Information pertaining to each external file in the client file. |
| .sgp | Information about missing/corrupt SmartSync events. |
| .spf | Information about sync events that the system has already processed. |
| .spo | Information about identifier changes in SmartSync. |
| .scl | List of conflicts in the file. |
| .sec | Sync Event Collection used for (re-)publish and downloading of external documents. |
| .sfa | Information about the last user to open an external document. |
| .sfl | Information about exclusive use CaseView documents. |
| .sfv | Information about the last applied version of external documents. |
| .spm | Information about SmartSync peers if peer-to-peer synchronization is used. |
| .tmp | Temporary .sfc file storage during upload/download. |
