Removing Bullets or Numbers

If you no longer require a list in your document, you can easily remove it.

To remove a bulleted or numbered list:

  1. Select the paragraph(s) containing the bullets or numbers you want to remove. To remove the bullets or numbers from all paragraphs in the column, select the whole column by clicking just outside the column border.

  2. On the ribbon, click the Home tab. To remove bullets, in the Paragraph group, click Bullets | None. To remove numbers, in the Paragraph group, click Numbering | None.

The bulleted or numbered list is removed.

Note: To remove a single bullet or number, position the insertion point to the right of the bullet, and press Backspace.
