About Group Tab Markers

Group tab markers are specified in the Cell Group dialog. The cell group to which a column of cells is attached governs the properties of the column of cells. A column of cells assigned to a cell group does not automatically acquire the group tab marker for the cell group. The cell group to which the cells are attached is independent of the group tab to which the cells are attached. Tab markers are paragraph attributes that must be assigned separately from cell properties such as width, font, and shading.
