Colors Options Tab - Graph Properties Dialog

Specifies the colors of each data series on the graph and also the background colors of the graph.

Graph

Specifies color settings for the graph. Select a graph area, click the images\lookbut2_shg.gif button and select the corresponding color. There are 40 default colors available for selection. Click More Colors at the bottom of the color list to modify an existing color or add an additional color. To set the opacity of that color, use the slides.

Follow Paragraph Shade Color

Select to use the current paragraph color for the area surrounding the graph.

Desk

Represents the background color of the area surrounding the graph. Colors can be selected only when the Follow Paragraph Shade color check box is not checked.

Text

Represents the text color for all title, axis and point labels.

Border Shadow (only pie graphs and when the New Look option is not checked)

Represents the color of shadows applied to the graph, when Drop Shadow is selected as the Border Style, under the Format tab.

Graph Foreground

Represents the color of gridlines and legend outlines on the graph.

Graph Background

Represents the background color of the graph.

Grid Band

Represents the color of gridlines on the graph.

Table Foreground (only when the New Look option is not checked)

Represents the color of the table text and outline.

Table Background (only when the New Look option is not checked)

Represents the background color of the table.

Series / Pie

Opacity

Specifies the transparency of the data point colors, from clear to solid.

Click a data series and then click the images\lookbut2_shg.gif next to the color bar to select a color for the data series. For line graphs, click the images\lookbut2_shg.gif in the line display column to set the line type for each individual row.

When creating a pie chart, each data series represents a slice of the pie chart.

Note: Ensure to specify a color for your Other data series. If you do not choose a color and the opacity is set at the lowest value, the color may not display correctly.

Use New Color Theme

Select to base the colors off the currently selected theme.
