Exporting a Document as HTML

CaseView enables you to export any document in HTML format. To output your file as HTML:

  1. Under the File tab, click Export, and then click Web Page.
  2. Select a path for the file.
  3. Type in a name for the output file.
  4. Click Save. An additional dialog will appear allowing for the configuration of other HTML related options, such as the inclusion of Inline XBRL coding. CaseView automatically outputs the document in HTML format.
  5. Click Finish.

Notes

  • If the document you are exporting relies on tabs for alignment within the document, the output to HTML may not align properly. HTML cannot interpret tabs as space holders in a document. You can work around this problem by either removing all tabs to align text, or by placing text within tables to handle any alignment issues you may have.
  • Watermarks, when exported, center horizontally and vertically on the document content (not the page) and may seem to display slightly off center.
  • Related tables that are adjacent to each other will be merged automatically in the HTML document to ensure they maintain consistent column widths.
