Linking Knowledge Library Content from the Index

The Insert Knowledge Library Link from Index command enables you to select an available entry from a selected Knowledge Library Index for insertion into the current document.

  1. Position the cursor at the point where the Knowledge Library entry is to be inserted.
  2. On the Insert tab, click Knowledge Library Link from Index.
  3. In the File name box, browse to and highlight the Knowledge Library Index containing the Knowledge Library entry to be inserted. Click Open.
  4. The path to the Knowledge Library Index just selected displays in the dialog. Click Browse to modify this path.
  5. Click Next.
  6. The Index may contain pre-formatted views that filter the available entries. To change the current view, if applicable, select a new view from the View drop-down menu.
  7. In the list of available entries, locate the Knowledge Library entry to be inserted and select the check box to the right of it. If the Preview Content option is selected, the content of the entry will show in the preview pane.
  8. Click OK.

The Knowledge Library Entry will be inserted into the document.
