Administration Dialog

Use this dialog to make administrative changes to the Knowledge Index. In this dialog it is possible to relabel the current Knowledge Library Index, or access dialogs to create new teams (users) or change the passwords associated with existing teams (users).

Knowledge Library Index label

Displays the current label for the Knowledge Library Index. Type in new text to change the existing label. This label displays in the title bar of the Knowledge Library Index screen and other dialogs.

Existing users

List the current teams (users).

Add

Click to add a new team (user).

Delete

Select to delete the team highlighted in the selected users list. Please note that teams can only be deleted if they fall under the direct ownership of the person deleting. That is, teams which have been created by that user. The Delete button is active only when a group is selected which is under the user's direct ownership.

When selected, a dialog appears that allows the ownership of any existing information in the Knowledge Library Index (entries, custom properties, views, groups, etc.) to be reassigned to another owner. This is performed via the Transfer Ownership dialog. This dialog allows ownership of items to be reassigned, such as entries, custom properties, views, groups, etc. within the Knowledge Library index from the user being deleted to another active user.

From the drop-down list of other users, select the user to whom ownership is to be transferred.

Password

Select to change the password for the team selected in the Existing users list.

Note:

  • Transferring ownership of a Knowledge Library document can only be accomplished by removing the existing owner through the Administration dialog. Once an existing user is marked for deletion a prompt will appear requesting the User account to which to transfer existing document ownership.
