Home Tab

The Home tab contains the most used commands.

Note: Available commands vary based on the editing mode selected.

Paste

Pastes the clipboard content to the insertion point.

Paste Special

Pastes the clipboard content with a choice of formatting to the insertion point.

Cut

Cuts the selected content to the clipboard and removes it from the document.

Copy

Copies the selected content to the clipboard and also retains it within the document.

Copy Formatting

Copies the style and formatting settings from the selected content to the clipboard but not the content itself.

Editing

There are two editing modes in CaseView: the Form Mode and the Design Mode. Form Mode can be further enhanced by turning on the enable editing function.  

Form Mode

Switches to Form Mode. Form Mode is a close representation of the printed document with limited functionality.

Design Mode

Switches to Design Mode. Design Mode allows access to the full functionality of CaseView.

Enable Editing

Depending on the permissions given, you can switch to Form Mode with Editing Enabled. Form Mode with editing enabled is essentially a middle ground between Form and Design Mode.

Lock/Unlock

Locks or unlocks any CaseView mode.

Font

Changes the font.

Font size

Changes the font size.

Bold

Applies the bold font style.

Italics

Applies the italics font style.

Underline

Applies the underline effect.

Bullets

Inserts a bulleted list.

Numbering

Inserts a numbered list.

Multilevel List

Create a multi-level list.

Paragraph

Opens the Paragraph Properties dialog to apply formatting attributes to a paragraph

Alignment

Aligns content to the left, right, center, or justify.

Cell

Opens the Cell dialog. Depending on where the cursor is located, you can create or edit a cell.

Section

Opens the Section dialog to configure the section settings.

Table

If a table is selected, the Table Properties dialog opens. If a table is not select, the Create Table dialog opens.

Insert

Inserts a row or column into the selected table.

Delete

Deletes the selected table, row(s), or column(s). A dialog box will appear asking for confirmation of the deletion.

Merge Squares

Merges selected horizontal table squares. When finished, the contents of the squares move to the left-most square and center across the selected range.

When merging squares for multiple rows, each row is treated separately. Squares cannot be merged vertically.

Unmerge Squares

Unmerges two merged horizontal table squares. When unmerged, the previous squares reappear. The contents of the unmerged squares display in the left most table square.

Properties

Opens the Table Properties dialog to set properties for the table.

Sort

Opens the Sorta Criteria dialog to sort table cells.

Shuffle Columns

Opens the Shuffle Table Columns dialog to manually reorder the table columns.

Styles

Use the Style drop-down menu to select a Style. Styles are used to quickly format text and maintain consistent formatting.

Add Style

Opens the New Style dialog to create a new style.

Modify Style

Opens the Format Style dialog to modify a style.

Delete Style

Opens the Delete Style dialog to delete a selected style and replace all instances of that style with another style.

New Note

Inserts a new note.

New Tickmark

Inserts a new tickmark.

New Reference

Inserts a new document reference.

New Manual Reference

Inserts a new manual reference.

Find

Opens the Find dialog to search for a specified type of cell, text or formatting in the active document.

Replace

Opens the Replace dialog to search for and replace specified text in the active document.

Find Next

Finds and selects the next occurrence of the text or cell specified in the Find What box of the Find dialog.

Goto Bookmark

Opens the Goto Bookmark dialog to quickly jump to a bookmark in the document.

Document Map

Opens the Document Map to easily navigate through large documents.

Zoom Level

Enlarges or reduces the size of a document as it appears on the screen based on the zoom level selected.

Zoom In/Out

Enlarges or reduces the size of a document in increments of 25%.

Fit content to screen

Enlarges the content to fit between the left and right margin of the document window.

Fit page to screen

Enlarges the page to fit the document window.

Full screen

Enlarges the document to fit the full screen.
