Adding Annotation in Form Mode

Prerequisites

To add annotations, permissions must be selected in the Annotation dialog. For example, for an annotation anchor () to be visible, the Draw Anchor in Form Mode option must be selected.

Procedure

  1. Right-click the anchor () and select Annotate from the context menu.

Note: If the Annotation has a label assigned in Design Mode, the label will be displayed on the context menu. For example, the command reads "Annotate Fixed Assets" for any annotation assigned the label "Fixed Assets".

  2. If applicable select the References tab. Click the down-arrow in the upper panel to select an existing document as the Reference, or click the down-arrow in the lower panel to enter a New Manual Reference. When the New Manual Reference is selected, the down arrow key moves to the text field to enter the manual reference text.

  3. If applicable, select the Notes tab. Click the down-arrow in the upper panel and enter any additional comments in the note box.

  4. If applicable, select a Tickmark tab. Click the down-arrow in the upper panel. Use the arrow keys to scroll through the Tickmarks. Press Enter to select the desired Tickmark.

Note: Tickmarks can be added in Working Papers, by accessing the Tickmark list under Home| Tickmarks.

  5. Click OK.

Results

You have added annotation in Form Mode.

Note: In Form Mode with Enable Editing, the permissions selected for References, Notes and Tickmarks will be ignored by the Annotation area on the Home tab.
