Copying Annotation Within the Same CaseView Document

Annotations can be copied and pasted multiple times within the same document to allow for faster creation of repeated notations.

Where an annotation includes a note, reference, and tickmark, it is possible to copy all the items that are part of the annotation or to select just one component of the annotation to copy. For example, just the note but not the reference and tickmark.

To quickly update multiple annotations, update one annotation, copy it and paste it over top of the other of the annotations that need updating.

Note: If copying one annotation to another, the existing note, reference, or tickmark is replaced if you click directly on the annotation. To add additional annotations, click to the right of the current annotation and then paste the annotation that you are adding.

Copying an Annotation within CaseView:

  1. In Design mode, create the various Annotation placeholders to accept input from Form mode. Position the cursor in the desired location and on the Home tab, in the Annotation group, click and then click OK.
  2. In Form mode, either:
    • Copy all items in the annotation by placing the cursor before the annotation, then right-click and select Copy.
    • Copy only one item in the annotation, for example only the tickmark, by right-clicking the item in the annotation and selecting Copy.
  3. Place your cursor in the paragraph or table row where the annotation should appear, right-click and select Paste. Where placeholders are displayed in Form mode, position the cursor in front of the placeholder.

To copy the same annotation to multiple paragraphs or table rows, repeat this step.
