About Section Formatting

A section is a group of paragraphs selected for the purpose of modifying attributes common to all paragraphs in the section. The size of a section is only limited by the number of paragraphs selected (although if creating a section within a table the section must encompass the entire row of the table). Section formatting is useful when applying skipping options to large areas in a document, to avoid page breaks occurring, or to apply floating currency signs or smart underlining.

Brackets appear in the style area indicating where section formatting has been applied. Sections can be nested within sections.
