Defining currency symbol behavior

You can control how currency symbols are to be displayed in the financial statements.

To define currency symbols:

  1. Navigate to the Global Setup tab. In the Currency group, click Display.
  2. In the Display dialog, complete the applicable options.

    Option Description
    Use Regional Settings

    Select this option to use the Windows regional settings defined on your computer as the currency to be displayed.

    Headings

    Select or enter the text that should display, for example: Reported in $ or Expressed in $.

    Tables
    • Currency symbol in column heading - Select to have the currency symbol display in the column heading.
    • Currency symbol on the first row - Select to have the currency symbol display in the first active row of a table
    • Currency symbol on the last row - Select to have the currency symbol display in the last active row of a table.
    • Currency Used - Select or type the currency to be used in the tables. If you have selected to use regional settings this option is not available.
    • Currency position- Select whether the symbol is to appear at the right or left of the number. For example, $100 or 100$.
    Text
    • Currency Used - Select or type the currency to be used in the text areas.
    • Currency Position- Select whether the currency symbol is to appear to the right or left of the balances. For example, $100 or 100$.

The currency symbol are defined and will display in the desired location.
