About Cell Events

It is possible to create cells that are programmed to respond to a User's clicks by performing certain actions. Use the Events tab in the Edit Cell dialog to assign actions to cells in a CaseView document. The following are examples of events that can occur when clicking on cells in the Form Mode:

  • Jump to one location or a section in the document
  • Open a CaseView document of the same or different client file
  • Sort paragraphs and sections
  • Apply rounding
  • Attach style sheets or cell groups to a document
  • Compare data in two sections or documents
  • Insert, delete or update a link to a Knowledge Library document
  • Insert text at a given point

Events permit a User in the Form Mode to accomplish many tasks that do not require a prior knowledge of the intricacies of CaseView.
