About Partner and Manager Summary Report
The Partner and Manager Summary Report provides key information in the engagement audit file and summarizes it in a customizable report. This summary assists reviewers by consolidating key information and issues in the audit in one document for review. If more detail is required on an item, the reviewer can then review the relevant individual documents.
Information created in Issues can be transferred to this summary report. In a work program or checklist that uses work program responses, your firm can set the option in AO - General options to require an issue to be created when a certain response is chosen as an exception. For further information, refer to Completion Responses. The user needs to click on the red diamond that appears beside the procedure to create an issue as necessary. When these are completed, they can be transferred to the partner manager summary for review of the issues in one document.
Additional comments can be added to the issue in the partner manager summary to provide additional information for the reviewer. This information is only added to the partner manager summary and is not added to the original issue.
Issues can be included in two areas – one area includes only those issues that are attached to a Financial Statement Area (FSA).The other area includes Issues that have not been attached to a FSA.
A summary area of any risks that have not been referenced as addressed in a work program or checklist is also available to be included in this report.
