Defining Scoring System

The scoring system represents the value of your risk assessment. Before users can begin assessing risks, the template author must define the Scoring System. There are ten different systems to choose from:

  • High/Medium/Low
  • Yes/No
  • Significant, High, Medium, Low, Insignificant
  • Significant, High, Low
  • Significant, RMM, Not RMM
  • High/Low
  • Scoring of 1-5
  • Scoring of 1-4
  • Significant, Medium, Low
  • Other (Define a custom scoring system, separated by commas)

Template authors can select the scoring system for Risks in AO - General options | Risks | General Risk Options… | Available Properties and Risk Columns in AO - General options | Financial Statement Areas Worksheet | Risk Columns. Before you select the scoring system, ensure that you deselect the risk assessment automation option(s).

Note: If you automate your Inherent or Control risk assessment, the Scoring System you select must be identical in both the Risks area and FSA Worksheet. If they are different, a warning displays in the Risks area in the AO - General options document.
