Template Installation

The Caseware Audit template is designed for use with Caseware Working Papers. We recommend a license administrator install the Caseware Audit template to your workstation.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that your workstation meets all the system requirements for Audit International.
  • You MUST install the template on your local workstation in the sub-directory of your Caseware installation, typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Caseware\. Network installation is not supported.
  • Do not install a full copy of the template over an existing template. To avoid overwriting preexisting customizations, we recommend you update the template.

To download the Audit International template from MyCaseware:

  1. Log in to your MyCaseware account.
  2. On the Home page, click Software Download.
  3. In the Templates category, under the Desktop License Name column, select the Audit International product link for the version you require.
  4. On the product license page, click Download Software.
  5. In the Download Software dialog, click the product link to download the installer.

The installation file is downloaded to your workstation.

To install the Audit template:

  1. Locate the .cwp installation file, then double-click it to launch the installation wizard.
  2. If the User Account Control (UAC) prompt displays enter your credentials, then click Yes.
  3. On the Welcome screen, click Next to continue.
  4. Accept the End User License Agreement, then click Next.
  5. Use the default Program Folder and Document Library file paths. Click Finish.
  6. The template will begin installation. When complete, the dialog will indicate a successful installation. Click Close.

You have installed the Audit template. You're now ready to proceed to Creating Client Files.
