Updating the Engagement File for Content Updates

From time to time, your firm may distribute an updated version of the work programs and checklists, for example, when a new authoritative requirement is introduced. You should always compare the work programs and checklist to your existing working paper file to ensure that the content is up to date.

To update for new content, you must have access to the new libraries updated by your firm. You must install the updated version of the firms' template on your hard drive or be pointing to a shared network library that has been updated by your firm.

You can review both the status of complete documents and specific procedures within your file to ensure that you have the most current content. Required common procedures are automatically inserted into the applicable documents, and modified or deleted common procedures are updated.
