Lock User Procedure Customization
Once customizations have been completed, you can Lock User Procedure Customizations in work program and checklist documents to prevent accidental and unauthorized modifications by the engagement team.
Each work program or checklist document must be locked independently. The lock is automatically removed after a year end close has been performed, allowing the reassessment of procedures in the following year.
Two locking options are available:
Locking Option | Description |
---|---|
Lock all procedure customizations |
This locks all customizations of procedures. Users can complete existing procedures but cannot create any new procedures or delete or modify existing procedures. Users can still add procedures from the content library.. |
Lock existing procedure customizations |
All existing procedures currently in the document are locked from modifications. Users can add, modify, and edit new user created procedures. They can also add procedures from the content library. |
When user procedure customizations have been locked, the Optimiser does not delete procedures when the checklist is opened, even if the procedure threshold is above the overall assessed risk.
The locked state of the document is indicated by the unlocked or locked icon to the left of the document name. Hovering over the icon displays a tooltip indicating the lock state, while clicking on the icon launches the feature.
Note:
-
For firms using the Working Papers Protection feature, the Lock User Procedure Customization feature requires the user to belong to a group with a CaseView Access Level of 6 or higher.
For more detailed information on protection, users, and groups in Working Papers, refer to Protection.
