Frequent script errors when opening CaseView documents on Windows 11

Issue
Users are experiencing frequent script errors when opening CaseView documents on Windows 11. This issue is caused by a recent Windows 11 update (version 24H2) that replaced the default DLL for applications with jscript9legacy.dll.
Solution
Complete the procedure that is suitable to your organization:

Run the solution on each staff machine (suitable for organizations without a dedicated IT team)

Push the solution to all staff machines (suitable for organizations with a dedicated IT team)
Run the solution on each staff machine
Organizations without a dedicated IT team can run our automated solution on each staff machine to quickly resolve the issue.
To download and install the automated solution:

Log into MyCaseware.

From the main menu, select Support Files.

Expand the Working Papers category and locate the JScriptRegistryFix.cwp file. Click Download.

Locate the downloaded JScriptRegistryFix.cwp file, right-click it, and select Properties.

Select Unblock, then click OK.

Run the file and proceed through the installation process on each machine with a Working Papers license. On the final screen, ensure that you do not change the Program Folder path.
Push the solution to all staff machines
Organizations with a dedicated IT team can push the solution (loading jscript.dll by default) to all staff machines via the Windows Registry or Local Group Policy.
To load jscript.dll by default via the Windows Registry:

Launch the Registry Editor.

Navigate to either of the following locations:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

Right-click the Main key and select New | DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Name the new value JScriptReplacement.

Set the value of JScriptReplacement to 0.
To load jscript.dll by default via Local Group Policy:

Launch the Local Group Policy Editor.

Navigate to either of the following locations:

Local Computer Policy | Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Internet Explorer

Local Computer Policy | User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Internet Explorer

Locate the setting labeled Replace JScript by loading JScript9Legacy in place of Jscript.

Right-click the setting and click Edit.

Select Disabled and click OK.
