Data Reporting

Template authors can define the reporting periods available for the financial statements in this section. Financials can report on annual, quarterly and half-yearly data. Choosing a reporting period other than yearly provides options for the comparative reporting. These options include:

  • Preceding period – Comparative data presented will be the period immediately preceding the current reporting period. For example, if the current period reporting is the second quarter, the preceding period will display first quarter data.
  • Equivalent period in prior year – Comparative data presented will be the same period from the prior year. For example, if the current period reporting is the second quarter, the second quarter from the prior year will display.
  • Prior year end – Comparative data presented is the prior year ending balances. This option is available only for the Statement of Financial Position.

End users must select the appropriate reporting period in Working Papers in Engagement Properties and import the applicable data from the client's accounting package. Additionally, if the end user selects quarterly in the Current Period Date Sequence, the quarterly formats for the statements will insert into the financial statements.

Locking any of the options will prevent end users from changing the settings within the client file.
