Question
Can I run Working Papers on macOS?
Answer
Working Papers does not natively support Apple's operating system as it was designed for a 64-bit version of Windows; however, there are a few environments where it is still possible to run the application on macOS.
First, you must determine which type of processor your Apple product uses.
-
Intel/AMD processor
-
ARM processor
Use the following table to determine which environments can run Working Papers based on your processor type.

Windows VM hosted on-premises |

1 Caseware does not test this functionality, so compatibility relies on the virtualization solution's conformance statement.
2 Microsoft is improving compatibility between ARM Windows 11 and x64 applications, but Caseware is not testing or developing for this platform.
3 It is possible to run Working Papers on a partitioned Apple operating system; however, we do not recommend or support this method.
Note that these environments may allow you to run Working Papers on macOS, but we cannot guarantee the same level of support and performance as a Windows PC.
