Roles in CaseWare® Working Papers are used for electronic sign off of documents in a client file. Roles can assist you when there are several collaborators in the client file and engagement progression is dependent on role sign offs.

Set the number of roles, role sets, and other options on the Tools | Options dialog.

You can define sign off requirements for roles in a role set. When you define a requirement, you are specifying that one role cannot be signed off before another.
