Balance Per

Enter the description and amount of the statement you are reconciling.

Recorded in ledger but not cleared in statement

Add outstanding debits .........

Enter the amount for any outstanding debit amounts. For a bank reconciliation, these would be outstanding deposits. If the normal sign is a debit (e.g., a bank account), these debits are added to the balance. If the normal sign is a credit, these items are subtracted from the balance.

Less outstanding credits..........

Enter the amount for any outstanding credit amounts. For a bank reconciliation, these would be outstanding checks. If the normal sign is a credit (e.g., a bank account), these credits are added to the balance. If the normal sign for the account is a debit, these items are subtracted from the balance.

Cleared in statement but not recorded in ledger

Cleared in statement but not recorded in the ledger

Enter the amount for any items recorded in the statement but not recorded in the ledger. For a bank reconciliation, these would include bank errors that have not been recorded in the general ledger.

Balance

Displays the adjusted balance once all adjustments are taken into account.

Unreconciled Difference

Displays a running total of the outstanding difference. The amount updates as outstanding debits and credits are added to the reconciliation.

Balance per ledger

Displays the ending balance of the current active period (as specified in the Engagement Properties) for the account number entered in the account reconciliation document properties. When performing an automatic reconciliation, this amount is updated in the general ledger based on the appropriate date. When performing a manual reconciliation, if no account number is entered, then the general ledger amount must be entered.
