Synchronization Properties

Displays the top-level parent file and sync copies. The bold entry is the local sync copy. The icon appears by connected sync copies.

The displayed list is limited by how frequently the sync copies connect to the parent copy. Example:

• A user creates a sync copy to be the parent file for an off-site team.
• This parent file, and all sync copies of the parent, are not connected to the sync hierarchy in the office.
• Any child copies created along that branch will not show in the sync hierarchy in the office, but will show in the off-site hierarchy.
• Once any sync copy from the off-site branch connects with a file in the office, the branch's structure appears in the office hierarchy.

Displays the credentials and the date and time of the last person to synchronize using that child copy.

Note: Entries attributed to Unknown User occur when the parent file has not been accessed since SmartSync was engaged or if the parent .sci file is deleted or corrupt.

Displays the synchronization percentage for each file, representing how up-to-date the copy is according to the active sync copy's log. The current active file (in bold) always displays 100%.

Notes

• A value of 100% does not signify that all changes in the hierarchy have been received and applied. The current active file is unaware of changes made in offline files.
• Completed percentage in offline sync copies drops as changes are made to reflect unknown changes to the remaining sync hierarchy.
• Sync copies with no direct relationship with the parent display a blank percentage. Peer offline copies and their children are not represented.
• Unopened files with online sync logs display lower percentages due to unapplied sync changes.

Repairs synchronization errors by reapplying all synchronized changes to the file.
