Generate milestones

Preserve the current state of your document for comparison, backup, and recovery purposes by creating a milestone. To create milestones in CaseView, see Create document milestones.

To create a milestone:

  1. From the Document Manager, right-click on the applicable document and click Save Milestone.
  2. The Save Milestone dialog displays. If required, add a comment to describe the milestone. Click Save.

The milestone is created and a history event is recorded.

To view a milestone:

  1. From the Document Manager, right-click on the applicable document and click Properties.
  2. Click the History tab.
  3. Select the applicable milestone and click View Milestone.

The milestone displays.
