Alignment tab - Edit Cell dialog
Horizontal
Specifies the alignment of the cell contents horizontally within the cell.
Default
Aligns the contents of numeric cells to the right and the contents of alphanumeric cells to the left.
Left
Aligns cell contents to the left.
Center
Centers cell contents.
Right
Aligns cell contents to the right.
Justify
Aligns cell contents to the left and right. Only Alphanumeric cells can be justified horizontally. For all other cell types, this option is grayed out.
Vertical
Specifies the alignment of the cell contents vertically within the cell.
Default
Aligns cell contents with the bottom of the cell border.
Top
Aligns cell contents with the top of the cell border.
Center
Centers cell contents vertically within the cell.
Bottom
Aligns cell contents with the bottom of the cell border.
Justify
Aligns cell contents with the bottom of the cell border.
Orientation
Changes the presentation of the text within the cell. To change the presentation, select the desired orientation.
Reserve Space for Bracket
These options apply to numeric cells only.
Default
Uses the default setting for spacing a bracket. To modify default cell properties, from the Document tab, click Cell Options.
Reserve Space
Reserves space for brackets.
Don't Reserve Space
Select if no space is to be reserved for brackets.
Reserve Space for Currency/ Unit Symbol
These options apply to numeric cells only.
Default
Uses the default setting for spacing a currency/unit sign. To modify default cell properties, from the Document tab, click Cell Options.
Reserve Space
Reserves space for a currency sign.
Don't Reserve Space
Select if no space is to be reserved for a currency sign.
Reserve Space for Rounded to Zero Symbol
These options apply to numeric cells only.
Default
Uses the default setting for spacing a rounded to zero symbol. To modify default cell properties, from the Document tab, click Cell Options.
Reserve Space
Reserves space for rounded-to-zero symbols. Select this option to ensure that figures with rounded-to-zero symbols are in alignment with figures without rounded-to-zero symbols.
Don't Reserve Space
Select this option if no space is to be reserved for a rounded to zero symbol.
