Date tab - Edit Cell dialog
Specify attributes for a date cell.
Display Properties
Select options to control the appearance of the date cell.
Cell Width
Sets a full range of widths for the cell. From the drop down, select one of the following:

Sets the cell width to shrink and grow with the contents of the cell |

Sets a definite width for the cell, regardless of cell contents |
At least |
Sets a lower limit for the size of the cell. |
At most |
Sets an upper limit for the size of the cell. |
Column |
If the cell is contained within a table or a multi-column format, select this option to allow the maximum width of the cell to be the column width. |
Tip
- Subsequent cells of each type (numeric, alphanumeric, date, etc.) inherit the initial settings of the last cell of the same type created. These settings can be changed if the user desires.
Cell Height
Sets a full range of heights for the cell. From the drop down, select one of the following:

Sets a definite heights for the cell, regardless of cell contents |

Sets a lower limit for the size of the cell. |

Sets an upper limit for the size of the cell. |
Allow Wrapping
Select to allow long dates, such as August 23, 2007, to wrap in the cell as required. This option is not available with fixed width date cells.
Accept Underline Space
Select to add extra space for underlines. This option is only applicable in table cells and allows the user to line up the last line of the description in one table cell with the number in the next column.
Date Format
Displays the date in either a short or a long format.
Use Short Format
To use a short format for the date, click the Use Short Format option and then select a format in the Date String box.
Use Long Format
To use a long format for the date, click the Use Long Format option and then select a format in the Date String box.
Use Regional Settings
To use the date settings as specified in the Windows Control Panel, click Use Regional Settings.
Date Style
To specify how dates are displayed, select an option in the Date String box.
Language
To specify a localized format for the date enter a ISO 639-1 language code.
Sample
Shows how the date will appear in the cell.
Calculation
Capitalization
Select the capitalization format for the cell from the drop down list: There are three choices:

Normal: Sets format to allow a mix of capitals and lower case.

Upper: Sets format as all uppercase

Lower: Sets format as all lowercase

Title: Capitalizes the first letter of each word
Input Mode and Validation
Calendar Control
Select this box to make the drop-down calendar show in Form Mode (with or without editing enabled).
Validation
Enables the use of a calculation and an operator to specify rules for the cell. Select an operator from the drop down list and then click the calculation button to create a calculation in the Calculation Editor.
If validation fails
Enables you to create a rule in the event that the cell validation fails.
Response
Choose a response type from the drop down and then click the calculation button to create a calculation in the Calculation Editor.
Action
Choose an action in the event that the cell validation fails. You can choose to accept or reject the value.
