Align tab - Paragraph dialog
Use this command when presenting reports in two columns. For example, it may be desirable to create a Balance Sheet with the Assets section on the left side of the page and the Liabilities and Equity section on the right side of the page.
If the Balance Sheet has been created with maximum line items, some of which may skip if no values are present, it may be required that the "Total Assets" line and the "Total Liabilities and Equity" line will appear in the same position on the page.
No alignment
Activate this radio button if paragraph alignment should not be used.
Align at
To align a paragraph at a vertical position, type or select the position in the Align at box. Alignment is measured from top to bottom.
Align with
Aligns the current paragraph with a paragraph that has been tagged. Click the List button to select from the list of existing paragraph tags (See Adding paragraph tags for more information).
This is useful when creating a page with 2 columns and it is necessary to have a paragraph in column 2 align with the corresponding paragraph in column 1. Tag the paragraph in column 1 (a red chevron in the style area denotes a tagged paragraph). While the cursor is on the paragraph that appears in column 2, from the Align with box select the paragraph tag applied to column 1. This effectively aligns column 1 with column 2.
