Allow modification of contents in Form Mode

Allows modification of the paragraph contents while in the Form Mode.

Page break before

Inserts a page break before a paragraph. Note: Selecting this option, inserts a page break before any paragraphs with this style. If you subsequently modify the style so that it does not have this option, existing page breaks are not removed automatically from the document.

Keep together

Prevents a page break within a paragraph. This is useful when a paragraph wraps to the following line and you want to prevent a page break from separating the contents of the paragraph. A paragraph is any amount of text to the left of a paragraph mark (images\paragraphmk_shg.gif).

Allows a page break without restriction if required after the paragraph.

Prevents a page break between a paragraph and the following paragraph.

Prevents a page break between a paragraph and the following printing paragraph.


Display and Print Options

Skip print

Determines an automatic skip condition for a paragraph.

Select

What it does

None

If selected, no paragraphs will be skipped when printing.

If all numeric, radio button and check box cells zero

Will skip the line when printing if all numeric cells, including the radio buttons and check boxes, within the paragraph are zero.

If all numerics zero

Will skip the line when printing if all numeric cells within the paragraph are zero.

If all cells blank

To skip the line when printing if all cells within the paragraph are blank, select If all cells blank.

Always

To skip the paragraph every time the document is printed, select Always.

Do not apply style to skips

To apply skip criteria independently of styles, select this option. When applying the style to paragraphs with existing skip criteria, only the formatting changes are affected while the skip criteria remains intact. You can verify this by viewing the style area when changing style names.


Hide action

Determines display conditions in the Form Mode (with or without editing enabled) if skipping criteria for the paragraph is met. If hiding options are not used for the Form Mode, access Print Preview to view the document as it will print with all skips considered.

To display the paragraph always in the Form Mode, select None.

Hide if show button is not pressed

To display the skipping paragraph in the Form Mode if the Skipped Text option on the View tab is selected, select Hide if show button is not pressed.

Always hide

Hides the skipping paragraph in the Form Mode at all times.

Do not apply style to hides

To apply hide criteria independently of styles, select this option. When applying the style to paragraphs with existing hide criteria, only the formatting changes are applied while the hide criteria remains intact.


Hide only if paragraph is skipped

Select this option to use the hide calculation only when the paragraph is set to skip while printing.
