- Right-click a column heading and click Show | Map No (Flip).
-
In the Map No (Flip) column of a map or group number, enter the appropriate flip number.

Display if credit (use subs) Display a map number and all of its sub accounts (children) if the total balance is a credit. This applies to both automatic documents in Caseware and CaseView linkage calculations. Based on Parent When a parent map number has a "use subs" flip type, all sub accounts (children) are set to this flip type.
Display by debits and credits Group together and sum accounts with the same sign. All accounts with a sign of debit are summed together and all accounts with a sign of credit are summed together.
- Debit accounts with a total balance that is a debit will display on the associated map or group number. If the total balance is a credit, the accounts display on the associated flip or group number.
- Credit accounts with a total balance that is a credit will display on the associated map or group number. If the total balance is a debit, the accounts display on the associated flip or group number.
- Locate the map number that you designated as the flip number. In the Map No (Flip) column, enter the first map number.
The account balance is flipped to reflect the correct categorization
Notes:
- You must assign flip numbers to both sides of the account's flip. For example, if map number 111 is assigned flip number 211, then map number 211 must be assigned flip number 111. Assigning a flip number to an account but not assigning the corresponding map number as the flip can cause unpredictable results.
- If you modify a map number that is already assigned accounts, you must perform an autofill on the map number in order to update the assigned accounts with property changes. To perform an autofill, click Tools | Options | Autofill. Select the applicable autofill options and click Autofill Now.
