Collecting System Information

The Collect System Information feature generates a CaseWare support report, which can be sent with Microsoft Outlook to CaseWare Technical Support to diagnose software issues. The report can also be saved for later use.

  1. On the File tab, click Help, then click Collect System Information. A CaseWare support report is generated. To email the report to CaseWare Technical Support using Outlook, continue with the steps below. To save the report for later use, click the Save Report icon ( ).

  2. Click the Send Report icon ( ) to send the support report to CaseWare Technical Support.
  3. Important: The CaseWare Support Report tool requires Outlook access to send email.

  4. Select OK
  5. Outlook is opened with the support report attached and the default subject and recipient set.

  6. (Optional) Change the default recipient or subject.

  7. (Optional) Include additional information in the body of the email.
  8. Click the Send button in Outlook.

A CaseWare support report is generated and emailed to CaseWare.
