Name

Enter a name for the folder.

Explanation not required when adding documents after lockdown

Enter a number for the document. Each document on the Document Manager must have a unique number.

Include in Index

Select to include the document in the Document Index.

Retain on Cleanup

Select to retain this document whenever a clean up is run in the client file.

Lock Down

Select to lock down the document if a lock down is performed.

By default, the Lock Down check box is selected for all new documents created before lock down. If a document is created after lock down, the Lock Down check box is cleared and not available indicating that the new document is not locked down and cannot be locked down.

Roll Forward

Select to roll forward this document into the new client file during a year-end close.

Roll Forward as Placeholder

Select to roll forward the document into the new client file regardless of whether the document itself exists in the client file.

Extended Description for CaseView

Enter an optional description. The extended description does not appear on the printed document, but is available for linking to alphanumeric cells in CaseView documents using the Linkage worksheet.

Milestone

A paperclip in this column indicates the event is a milestone.

Event

The event is listed. The full list of events that affect an engagement include:

• File Creation
• Sign Out/In
• File Access
• Year End Close
• Update from Template
• Check Out/In
• Document Deletion

User

Lists the user credentials as outlined under Protection or manually entered.

Date

The date the event occurred. The default date format is dd/mm/yyyy.
