XBRL options

You can customize the options for XBRL exports, diagnostics and schema data from the XBRL Options dialog. Access the dialog from the ribbon by clicking Tools | XBRL | Options....

XBRL general export options

Set the general options for exports to XBRL.

Option Description
Use "decimals" attribute for numeric items Select to use the decimals attribute for numeric items, rather than the precision attribute. Deselect to use the precision attribute. This option is enabled by default.
Disable the XBRL Document Tagging dialog during export Select to disable the XBRL Document Tagging dialog during an export. Note that disabling this dialog will prevent you from correcting diagnostic errors during the export process.
Add a language attribute to the XBRL Instance Document's root node Select to add the specified language to an export document's xml.lang attribute.
Explicitly include XML Declaration for export Select to add an XML declaration to the top of the accounts (required by some regional guidelines).
Export Inline XBRL files using transformation rules from:

Select the transformation registry to use when exporting a document to Inline XBRL.

XBRL custom diagnostics settings

Set custom settings for XBRL diagnostics. To modify these settings, you must have Modify Diagnostic Levels rights as set in Document | Settings | Document Security.

Option Description
Diagnostics A list of default information and warning class diagnostics, their classes, and descriptions.
Extended information Displays the extended description for a diagnostic.
Diagnostic class Select the diagnostic class to apply to the selected diagnostic. Error-class diagnostics will prevent the completion of an export.
Display default error level diagnostics Select to include the default error class diagnostics in the Diagnostics list.

XBRL schema data

Add schema data to your XBRL export. To add schema data, click Add, then complete the Namespace, Location and Prefix fields.
