Deleting a Style

  1. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click to open the Style dialog.

  2. Click Style Sheets.

  3. Click Style Sheets.

    By default, the current document appears in the left hand style list box and the last used document displays in the right. The name of the document or style sheet containing the list of styles is written above the list.

  4. In the appropriate style list box, select the style to be deleted.

    If necessary, select the appropriate document or style sheet from the Styles available in box. If the desired document or style sheet is not in the drop-down down list, select More files and browse for the file.

  5. Select the style you want to delete and click Delete.
  6. Confirm that you want to delete the style.

Notes

  • You cannot delete the Normal style as this built-in default style. If deleting a style that is in use in the document you will be requested to select a style to replace the style being deleted.
