About CaseView modes

There are two modes in CaseView: Form Mode and Design Mode. When you create a new document, it opens in Design Mode by default. Other documents open in the mode specified in the document settings.

• Design Mode: Use Design Mode to define the contents and layout of the document. For more information, see Work in Design Mode.
• Form Mode: Use Form Mode to enter data into input cells and print the document. Form Mode is designed specifically for users of the software who are providing completion information to a document. For more information, see Work in Form Mode.

If the user has the necessary permissions, they can enable editing while in Form Mode. Editing in Form Mode grants the user access to an enhanced interface including formatting, style and cell functions. Permissions for editing in Form Mode are set up by the designer in Document | Settings | Mode Customization.

Note: You can quickly toggle between Form and Design Mode by pressing F6 on your keyboard.
