SmartSync extension index
The following file extensions are used by SmartSync:

| .sci | A file containing SmartSync client information. |
| .scl | A file containing a log of SmartSync synchronization conflicts. |
| .sec |
A file containing sync events for publishing, republishing and downloading external documents. |
| .sfa |
A file containing information about the last user to open an external document. |
| .sfc |
A file containing a compressed copy of an external document. |
| .sfc.X |
A placeholder file to prevent SmartSync from uploading or downloading obsolete .sfc files. |
| .sfg | A file containing SmartSync file mapping information. |
| .sfl |
A file containing information about "exclusive use" CaseView documents. |
| .sfv |
A file containing information about the last applied version of external documents. |
| .sgp |
A file containing information about missing or corrupt SmartSync events. |
| .slg | A file containing a log of SmartSync activity. |
| .spf |
A file containing information about sync events that the system has already processed. |
| .spm |
A file containing information about SmartSync peers (if peer-to-peer synchronization is used). |
| .spo |
A file containing information about identifier changes in SmartSync. |
| .tmp | A temporary .sfc file created during upload and download. |
