Generating a Milestone Set
When you want to save the current state of all documents in the client file, you can generate a milestone set. A milestone set is a collection of milestones for every document in the client file taken at the exact same time.
Note: This feature is not available in SmartSync versions of Working Papers.
Prerequisites
- Ensure no documents are checked out during this procedure.
Procedure
- Open the Engagement History dialog from the Engagement ribbon, click History.

Open the Auto-Compare tab.

Specify a descriptive label for this milestone set in the text box provided.
- Click Generate Now.
- Click OK.
Results
After the milestone set is generated, each document in the client file has a new milestone that you can view or compare to:
You can also use the Auto-Compare option with this milestone set. The milestone set is available from the drop-down option when automatically comparing documents to a Milestone set:
Notes
- To specify an Auto-Compare option using this milestone set, you must first close and then re-open the engagement history dialog to refresh the list of milestone sets.
