Print on both sides
You can print documents on both sides of a page (also known as duplex or double-sided printing) to reduce paper usage. Note that this feature is not related to even/odd headers and footers.
To print on both sides:
- Ensure you are working in Design Mode.
- On the ribbon, click File | Print | Page Setup.
-
In the Document Options group, click the Print on Both drop-down menu and select one of the following:
Option Description Printer Default Select to use the default settings from your printer. None Select to print on one side of the page. Flip on Long Edge Select to print on both sides of the page by flipping the content on the long edge of the page. This is the typical selection for pages printed in a portrait orientation. Flip on Short Edge Select to print on both sides of the page by flipping the content on the short edge of the page. This is the typical selection for pages printed in a landscape orientation. - If required, configure your margin settings using the options in the Margins group. Click OK.
The document will now print on both sides of each page.
