Tracking Adjusting Journal Entry

You can set Working Papers to track who created or deleted an adjusting journal entry on what date and at what time. Working Papers also tracks renumbering of adjusting journal entries.

The user name and initials of the person who created the adjusting journal entry is based on the user identification or, if using protection, the user name settings.

In order to track adjusting journal entries, you must first set the Engagement History function to record adjusting journal entry events.

  1. Select Engagement | History. The Engagement History dialog opens.

  2. Click the Settings tab.

  3. Select the Adjusting Journal Entry check box.

  4. Click OK.

Whenever adjusting journal entries are created, renumbered, or deleted, they will be recorded and you can view the history or create an automatic document showing the adjusting journal entry history.
