Relinking Connector Formulas [Excel Only]

After unlinking a document for external use, you can re-establish links in the document using the Relink function. This function replaces the static values from an unlinked document with their appropriate Connector formulas.

Note: This operation only applies to Excel.

  • Use the original name for your worksheets at the time of unlinking. Relink will fail if the worksheet was renamed between these operations.
  • Ensure that the Excel document maintains its original structure at the time of unlinking. If rows and columns are deleted prior to relinking, Connector will be unable to restore the formulas unless Connector, Working Papers, and the client file are accessible.
  1. From the Connector toolbar, click Tools | Relink.
  2. Click Yes when prompted.
  3. Ensure cells contain Connector formulas instead of static values.

After performing this operation, the value for each cell is replaced by its corresponding Connector formula. Perform a Recalculation to ensure all values are up-to-date.

Make sure you save your document after verifying all changes.
