Currency settings

In Financials, you can use the CL - Organization standards document to specify how currency information is to be displayed in the Currency Sign pane.

You can lock any of the currency options to ensure that they cannot be changed by users. This helps you ensure that financial statements generated from client files based on your template are consistent in appearance.

The following table lists the settings that are available.

Setting Description
General
Use regional setting for currency Specify whether to use the Windows regional currency setting.
Reporting currency Select the applicable reporting currency. This option appears only if Use regional currency setting is set to No.
Columns
Sinking currency sign Specify whether a currency sign is to be displayed next to the first printed row with numeric cells in a table.
Rising currency sign Specify whether a currency sign is to be displayed next to the last printed row with numeric cells in a table (such as the totals).
Reporting currency position When a sinking or rising currency sign has been specified, indicate whether the sign is to appear to the left of the numeric data or to the right.
Reserve space for currency sign/unit symbol If the Reporting currency sign is set to the Right, you can specify whether numeric data with currency signs align with numeric data without currency signs. If you do not reserve space for the currency sign, all column data is right-aligned whether a currency sign is included or not.
Text sections
Currency used in text paragraphs Specify the currency sign used with numeric data included in a text paragraph. This option defaults to the selection made under the General area.
Reporting currency position Specify whether the currency sign is to appear to the left or the right of the numeric data. This option does not appear if Currency used in text paragraphs is set to None.
