Replacing the Server Copy

Replace the server copy with your local copy of the client file.

  1. Ensure the sync copy is online and fully synchronized.
  2. On the SmartSync tab, click Replace Server Copy.

The top-level parent on the SmartSync Server is replaced with a compressed copy of your local file.

  • An interruption in the upload process displays a Could not Replace Server Copy error with the following solutions:

    • Run the upload again by clicking the pop-up balloon.
    • Run the upload again by closing the pop-up balloon and, on the SmartSync tab, click Replace Server Copy.
  • Working Papers attempts the upload the next time the sync copy is open if the upload is not successful.

  • A warning displays if the top-level parent contains more up-to-date sync information than the local sync copy.
